Born into a musical family, Stuart, like many drummers,
began on pots ‘n pans as a young child. After receiving a pair of bongos at
age 4, and some tips from a Trinidadian percussionist,
the fuse was lit.
At age 7, Stuart began sitting in with local lounge acts and jamming with
family.

 |
At 13, Stuart received his first drum set and started to
absorb the styles of his favourite players (Phil
Collins, Stewart Copeland &
John Bonham).
At 15, Stuart was playing weekly to crowds of 400 at his local church, which
continued until 1990. At this time, Stuart also played many professional
gigs and gained recognition as a “feel player”.

In 1991 Stuart travelled to Ireland with original band
Drawing from Monday where they enjoyed local
celebrity status. In 1992 the band relocated to Sydney, moving back to Perth
in 1994.

| Stuart has since played in popular bands such as
Radio 80’s, Back 2 Back
and Zoom as well as several original acts. He
has appeared on nine independently produced EP’s
and is a sought after musician in the Perth music scene. He plays
